The Mainship 41 Grand Salon is an unorthodox, highly stylized cruising yacht that might better be described as a floating condo. Her rectangular salon windows and Eurostyle deck railings were distinctive enough, but the overall look and feel of this boat never caught on with the public. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with a wide beam. The Grand Salon has an enormous, full-length salon stretching almost two-thirds of the boat’s length. Either layout is impressive in terms of size, although the inexpensive furnishings, cheap materials, and plain decor is obviously dated by modern standards. While the cockpit is tiny (and best-suited for line handling), the flybridge is very spacious with seating for a small crowd. Like all Mainships of this era, the 41 came with a long list of standard equipment, and the only options you could add were the electronics.
